A free ESRI seminar will demonstrate how ArcGIS Business Analyst can help companies mine new markets and select the best sites to open stores.
People will learn how to use the software during a live training seminar Getting Started with ArcGIS Business Analyst on June 22 from ESRI’s online Virtual Campus. The internet sessions, taught by ESRI instructor Robert Burke, will air at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. Pacific time.
ArcGIS Business Analyst performs a myriad of tasks, which include creating a demographic database of customers, retrieving demographic data for a trade area, and displaying customer and store data on a map.
The software includes advanced analysis tools; an extensive library of data from industry-leading data providers; and a wizard-driven, user-friendly interface.
Viewers will learn to map customer and store data, analyze that information, create different types of trade areas, and target areas by customer potential. The seminar will explain how to generate detailed demographic reports for trade areas and assess prospective store sites. The reports can help organizations better decide what product mix to offer a particular market and where to locate future stores.
A broadband internet connection and an ESRI Virtual Campus membership are needed to watch the seminar. Becoming a Virtual Campus member is free, and it only takes a few minutes to register. After the live presentation, the seminar will be archived and available to see anytime on the Virtual Campus Web site.
