Inside GNSS will be partnering with the world’s largest information and communications technologies (ICT) show, CeBIT, which takes place in Hannover, Germany, March 15–21, 2007.

With more than 6,100 exhibitors from over 70 countries and an anticipated attendance of 430,000 visitors from all over the world, CeBIT is THE international platform for comparing notes on current industry trends, networking, and product presentations.

Inside GNSS will be participating in the exhibition and panel discussions planned at the event.

In addition to its wide-ranging main display categories, CeBIT is focusing increasingly on “vertical” trends in IT and telecommunications technology. Located in Hall 11, “Telematics and Navigation” is one of the topics with top billing at the upcoming show. There, about 300 companies will show how telematics solutions and navigation systems help users to reach their chosen destination quickly and easily, manage fleets of vehicles, and increase safety on the road.

Another highlight in Hall 11 will be a lecture forum extending throughout the show and examining topical issues relating to technology and application aspects of traffic management. Items under discussion at “CeBIT in Motion – Forum for Telematics & Navigation” will include navigation systems, GNSS (Galileo and GPS) traffic management, digital maps, toll systems, telematics services, driver assistance systems and security.

Topics at the forum, themed “Safer, cleaner, more manageable traffic,” will range from bluetooth technology for the automotive industry and mobility in sport to the use of geostandards for data management and new-generation mobility systems. Key target groups among visitors include representatives from politics and administration, companies involved in the transportation and freight transport sectors, and potential users, namely motorists and train and plane passengers.
