Pictometry International Corp., the worldwide leader in digital, aerial oblique imagery and easy-to-use measuring software systems announced that its Mobile Training Lab has recently completed its 7th road trip to county customers who opted for this level of Pictometry training in conjunction with the delivery of their county-wide aerial imaging library and software. The Mobile training lab has very recently been deployed across the country in states such as Florida, Minnesota, and Texas.

Pictometry’s patented oblique aerial imaging technology is the industry’s most advanced system in the world featuring an easy-to-use software solution that allows users to access up to 20 oblique (3D-like) aerial photos of every square foot in a city, county, or state. Pictometry software enables users to obtain measurements such as distance, height, elevation, and area directly from the oblique imagery as well as overlay GIS data and create fully textured Pictometry Real3D™ models.

Complete with over a dozen, fully-equipped laptop PCs and a self-contained, wireless local area network, the Mobile Training Lab enables Pictometry’s professional trainers to conduct hands-on training services on Pictometry’s Electronic Field Study™ (EFS) software, Pictometry Change Analysis™, Pictometry ChangeFindr™, Pictometry’s interface and Pictometry integration with leading GIS solutions such as ESRI.

Pictometry’s Customer Technical Services Department provides a broad spectrum of training programs that can meet any requirement; from small group settings to complete statewide enterprise deployments involving hundreds of participants from multiple agencies such as GIS, law enforcement, fire departments, 9-1-1 call centers, public works, engineering, transportation, assessment, and community planning.

"We plan on expanding the Mobile Training Lab solution, which provides a cost-effective way for those communities who may not have a hands-on computer learning center with a ready-to-use training option that provides them with a complete, self contained Pictometry network of software and local imagery," said Dan Pennacchia, Pictometry’s Chief Marketing Officer. "Using Pictometry’s Mobile Training Lab, end users gain valuable hands-on experience and skills that enables them to quickly master in minutes the easy-to-use geospatial technology of Pictometry."
