Static test of Cbers-3 and 4 satellites were started this week. The objective is to simulate load conditions that actuate in satellite structure during launch. The tests are being made in Brazilian General Command for Aerospace Technology (CTA), in São José dos Campos.

The project, the assemble and tests is full responsability of Brazil, that divides with China the development of Cbers-3 and 4.

Cbers-3 and 4 satellites show an evolution from Cbers-1, 2 and 2B. This last one was launched in September 2007. To Cbers-3 and 4, it will be used 4 cameras: PANMUX, MUXCAM (multispectral), IRSCAM (medium resolution) and WFICAM, with improved geometric and radiometric perfomances.
