The Brazilian Concert Technologies and the Canadian C6 Launch, a space transport company, signed a non exclusive agreement to enable the launch of satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), from the Alcântara Launch Center (CLA), in the State of Maranhão, in the Northeast of Brazil. The objective is to enable the improvement and creation of solutions for the national and international market of operations based on intelligent satellite images and IoT (Internet of Things) services.

An example is the use of satellite images to improve and lower costs, of the vegetation management platform for the energy sector, known as Imagery, present in the portfolio of the Brazilian company.

Under the agreement, C6 Launch will provide space transportation services to Concert, aiming to form a constellation of satellites within the next five years. These missions will be significant milestones for both companies and for the Brazilian aerospace sector.

“There is a huge worldwide market for smart satellite imagery-based operations and IoT services. The partnership with C6 Launch as one of our space transport providers is strategic because, from Alcântara, it will be possible to reach the orbits we want”, said Angelo Menhem, CEO of Concert Technologies.

In the words of Richard McCammon, CEO of C6 Launch, “Concert offers valuable solutions to its customers and has the necessary expertise to be the future of satellite technology in Brazil. C6 Launch is proud to be able to provide the space shuttle services needed to establish its constellation.”

C6 Launch operates in Brazil through its subsidiary C6 Sistemas.
