Maptitude developer Caliper Corporation has been named to the Geoawesome Global Top 100 Geospatial Companies, 2026 Edition. The list was published on July 22, 2026. Caliper is one of 31 new entrants this year, alongside 69 returning companies.
The 2026 edition is the first to be decided entirely by the geospatial community. More than 125 professionals from around the world signed up to take part and name the companies they see as pushing the industry forward. In past years the list was chosen by panels of invited experts from academia, business, and research.
Chosen by the People Who Use Geospatial Tools
The list is a recognition, not a ranking. All 100 companies are presented in alphabetical order, and vote counts are not published.
Key facts about the 2026 selection:
- Decided by community vote. More than 125 geospatial professionals submitted input.
- Open to the whole sector. Professionals, academics, students, company staff, and enthusiasts could all vote, with no restriction by country or employer.
- Companies only. Government agencies, intergovernmental agencies, universities, and research institutions were not eligible.
- No fee. Geoawesome has run the list as free, merit-based recognition since 2016.
Caliper appears alongside companies working in GIS platforms, Earth observation, 3D mapping, spatial digital twins, mobility intelligence, foundation models, and climate and sustainability analysis.
A Community Recognition
“This list is chosen by the people who use geospatial tools every day. More than 125 professionals decided it. Maptitude has been making mapping and location analysis practical for business users since 1995. Being named by the community is the kind of recognition we value most.”
