Brazil and Argentina will support together a monitoring project of coast lines and oceans. A spatial cooperation agreement was signed in 22th February during the visit of Brazilian President to Argentina, and predicts to build a satellite together.

Argentina already has spatial technology in SAC-B, SAC-C and SAC-D satellites. Brazil, with the CBERS Program, is also in a mature stage of Earth Observation satellites. Both countries will unite expertises and will build a satellite to help in disaster prevention, environment protection, susteinable use of marine resources, oceanography, metheorology and study of climate changes.

The work group established for both countries has for months to define the specifications of the mission and then will present, in July, the schedule and description of tasks.
