On November 21, 2022, the launch ceremony of the National Remote Sensing Data and Application Service Platform and the opening ceremony of the National Space Administration Satellite Data and Application International Cooperation Centre were held successfully at the 2022 China Aerospace Congress at HaiNan International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
At the same time, the Wenchang International Space Conference and Aerospace Big Data Industry Forum took place. Mr. Dachuang ZHOU, CEO and Chairman of HEAD Aerospace Group (HEAD); Mr. Jian ZHAO, director of CNSA Earth Observation and Data Centre, and Mr. Chong LIU, director of Wenchang International Space Administration, signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the joint development of HaiNan Satellite Data and Application Research Centre.
HEAD will assist in promoting the establishment of the Data Centre, the integration of data service platforms, and the set-up of associated overseas centres. HEAD will also lead in developing international cooperation and demonstration of commercial VHR remote-sensing satellite data.
HaiNan Satellite Data and Application Research Centre act as the International Cooperation Centre of CNSA for Satellite Data & Application and the BRICS Remote Sensing Satellite Data and Applications Centre. By taking advantage of the data policy in HaiNan Free Trade port, The Centre will coordinate and develop international cooperation on remote sensing data and applications, supporting and promoting the implementation of bilateral cooperation in Earth observation and international projects. Utilizing its overseas data inquiry and delivering system, global ground station network, and distribution network managed by the HEAD international team, HEAD will promote the Chinese remote sensing satellite data and application services to global customers. Combining the data and application platform in HaiNan Satellite Data and Application Research Centre, promoting international business, and undertaking and implementing internal project orders make HEAD’s contributions towards the development of the knowledge-intensive service trade and the digital economy of the HaiNan Free Trade Port.
